Wild Cockatiel Games

Welcome to Wild Cockatiel Games. We’re an indie games studio located in Toronto, Canada. Why the name? Because cockatiels are amazing, intelligent birds and we love them. We also love making games, so combining the two into our name simply made sense.

As the founder, the picture next to this paragraph is the family of cockatiels I grew up with. From left to right, Cleo, Daisy, Princess and Elvis. Daisy is the cockatiel in the logo on this website.

Playing Games – Making Games

Making games for you to play is what we do first. Teaching you how to make your own games is what we do second. We believe great ideas originate from many types of people. Learning to code can take time, commitment and patience. As long as you possess those, there is little limit to what you can create, either now or eventually.

Executive Producer: Jonathan Holowka

My name is Jonathan and if you can’t tell, I love cockatiels.

I started learning how to code and make games in October, 2016. By the end of May, 2017, I was ready to launch Wild Cockatiel Games with my first game, Jungle Jumpers. A simple platformer built for Android. I’ve also written a full-length young adult fantasy novel called Elementalists: The Fires of Canicus and am an avid player of Overwatch for PC (Pharah main!).

Making games is my passion. The goal here is to start by creating simple games for Android and iOS, and eventually move on to bigger and more elaborate projects as skills and resources progress.
